fst control is a problem solving technology that helps you manage the wet and dry crocking fastness on your garments.
fst control ensures:
A garment's crocking fastness refers to its resistance of color transfer from one dyed surface to another after the two surfaces come in contact.
Crocking fastness is evaluated both in dry and wet conditions, and many international customers consider it as an essential parameter to evaluate the quality of the garment.
Crocking fastness is tested in dry conditions, by scrubbing against the treated garment while dry, and in wet conditions. Dry crocking fastness is something relatively easy to achieve, but wet crocking fastness is a whole different story. Under wet conditions, the unfixed dye or indigo particles are dissolved in water, making them particularly suitable to have color transfer or migration from the garment to other surfaces.
Poor performance in crocking fastness leads to problems in the day-to-day use of the garment. For example, color stains on skin, onto other garments, or even on furniture and car interiors, are all problems that end consumers can easily critique about a brand's garments.
For these reasons, wet crocking fastness improvement is something industrial laundries are always trying to improve.
With fst control, you will rule wet crocking fastness.
This revolutionary polymer mixture allows you to fix indigo and sulphur dye on denim garments, improving the wet crocking fastness from 1 to 3 points.*
Additionally, fst control is included in ZDHC Gateway at level 1, compliant for even the most sustainable treatments.
Tested on black sulphur dyed denim, fst control increasead dry crocking fastness by 2.5 points and wet crocking fastness by 2 points.
The test has been performed in these conditions:
― denim sulphur dyed garment, desized and stone washed
― fabric composition: 97% cotton; 3% elastane
― fabric weight: 360 gr/mq (10,5 oz)
― application of fst control by dipping in the recommended dosage
Tested on indigo dyed denim, fst control increased dry crocking fastness by 2 points and wet crocking fastness by 1.5 points.
The test has been performed in these conditions:
― indigo dyed denim garment, desized and stone washed
― fabric composition: 98% cotton; 2% elastane
― fabric weight: 360 gr/mq (10,5 oz)
― application of fst control by dipping in the recommended dosage
* the results are significantly affected by fabric nature and garment's type of wash.
fst control is designed to be applied by multiple techniques: by spray, by dipping and also by exhaustion in a washing machine.
This flexilbility allows customers to choose the most appropriate treatment - based on the available industrial conditions, the number of garments to treat or personal preferences.
