Chemical certifications are given after different types of third-party laboratory testing, which are designed to identify hazardous chemicals through scientific methods.
To define the characteristics required to obtain the certification, the different organizations also consider rules and regulations of countries and international institutions, including brand restricted chemical lists.
The purpose of a chemical certification is to promote better alternatives.
Only the chemicals that obtain the certification are products that can be considered safe for humans and for the environment.

ZDHC Gateway
The purpose of the ZDHC Programme is to shift the textile industry towards a zero discharge of hazardous chemicals, improving the environment and people's well-being.
The Programme led to the creation of the ZDHC Gateway, a database of products that conform to ZDHC's MRSL and represent safer alternatives to hazardous chemicals.
Garmon embraced the ZDHC Programme since its beginning, bringing all relevant products to the Gateway.

Garmon is an official Bluesign® System Partner.
